ONSITE: Guided Studio: Alternative Firings + Surface Design
- Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.This class may include one Raku firing, but the class is not focused on this. Prerequisite: a beginner and intermediate class or comparable experience. All materials and equipment provided.You will receive 25 pounds of clay; additional clay is available for purchase.This is an On-site course. Students must follow current Covid-19 protocols, as outlined on our website. On-site courses do not come with studio access outside of class time. About the Instructor
David’s been an active ceramics instructor, predominantly at the Visual Arts Center, for over 40 years. He studied at Goddard College in Vermont and relocated in 1977 to launch Camden Clayworks. He co-owns Cross Mill Gallery with Brad Camden and Jeremy Witt, which opened in 1971 by well known Virginia artist, Nancy Camden Witt. He’s placed best in show for ceramics/glass various times (2013, Occassion for the Arts). He has three daughters and is married to Dermatologist, Dr. Sharon Camden. He enjoys relaxing with his family and golden retriever at the beach. His hobbies include kayaking and tennis.See More Classes By Instructor Instructor Website
