COVID-19 Safety GUIDELINES
VisArts is committed to the health and safety of our community and we will continue to update our COVID-19 safety guidelines to reflect those set by the Virginia Health Department and the CDC
To keep everyone in our community safe, we require that all Visual Arts Center of Richmond staff, teachers, students and visitors follow the protocols listed below.
Our current guidelines:
- Follow current CDC guidelines pertaining to COVID-19 exposure, isolation, and what to do if you test positive. If you were exposed to, are sick, or have tested positive for COVID-19, please refer to the CDC’s guidelines here.
- Adhere to all posted signage regarding COVID-19 protocols.
If an individual fails to follow these guidelines, they may be asked to leave the facility and may not be allowed back for future classes or programs. In this case, they may not be eligible for refunds for fees already paid.
As of January 2023, we are no longer requiring proof of vaccination by teachers, monitors or adult students attending onsite programs. We are also no longer enforcing masking when our community level is defined as “high” by the CDC. The CDC recommends masking at the individual level, but as an organization, we are no longer enforcing masking by all. Anyone coming into our facility is welcome to wear a mask and students should be aware that teachers may still elect to wear a mask.
