ONSITE: Watercolor Primer

Jump start your watercolor painting with this six-week inspirational class! Students will be led through a series of watercolor painting techniques including dry wash, wet wash, wet-on-wet washes, gradients, color blending, and brushwork. Demonstrations will include glazing and layering techniques. Students will use special materials and tools for creating texture in paintings. Color theory and mixing will also be reviewed in each session with an emphasis on design and composition. Students will complete several studies and small paintings throughout the session.

  • This is an ONSITE course. All onsite students are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19. Students are expected to adhere to our COVID-19 policies. Onsite courses do not come with studio access outside of class time. Paid open studio access is available through our Studio Access Program. For more info please visit
