ONSITE: Stained Glass for the Beginner

Students will learn the fundamentals of how to build a stained glass panel or 3D object from start to finish. The lessons will encompass pattern design, glass scoring/breaking, grinding, foiling, soldering, framing and applying various patinas. At the end of the class, each student will have made at least one piece they can bring home and immediately display.

Special Notes

  • There is lead in the solder used, pregnant students should check with OBGYN before registering. Please wear closed toe shoes.

    Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.

    Students must follow social distancing protocols and wear masks at all times. For more info visit visarts.org. This is an On-site course. On-site courses do not come with studio access outside of class time. About the Instructor

Nicole Velez

Nicole is a professional stained glass artist specializing in modern designs that are rooted in tradition. She fell in love with stained glass as a child when her father discovered a hidden window in her childhood home. She began her career in 2018 learning at VisArts and now works out of her studio in the Fan.
