ONSITE: Pen + Ink Drawing
In this class you will learn the fundamentals of pen and ink techniques, including line work, shading, and texture. Each week, we will explore a different subject matter, from still life to landscapes, and apply our new skills to create intricate and beautiful drawings. Whether you are a beginner or have some experience with drawing, this class will challenge you to improve your technical abilities and express your creativity, Join us for a fun and engaging evening class that will leave you with a new appreciation for the art of pen and ink drawing.
Special Notes
- Students will be provided with all the necessary materials for the class, including dip pens and ink. We encourage students to bring their own sketchbooks to use throughout the course.
Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.
This is an On-site course. Students must follow current Covid-19 protocols, as outlined on our website. On-site courses do not come with studio access outside of class time. Paid open studio access is available through our Studio Access Program. Please visit visarts.org for more information.
About the Instructor
Dashiell Kirk
Dashiell Kirk is a illustrator based in Richmond. His work ranges from Comics and graphic novels to playing card games and posters. He teaches cartooning, comic book illustration, and ink drawing at the Visual Arts Center, and has a BFA in Communication Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University.
