ONSITE: Cut-paper Collage Techniques for Design + Illustration

Learn about the art of cut-paper collage to incorporate into your design process with Featured Illustrator Adam Philip Goodman. Students will create a book cover design made using cut-paper and mixed media, using folded cutwork, free form cutting, positive-negative cutwork, silhouette cutwork, combining paper cut-outs with other mediums. We will explore different kinds of paper: found and unconventional, different methods of adhering paper together, ways to transfer drawings, and cutting out text. Finally, we will learn some background history on the art of paper cutting.
