ONSITE: Self-Publish Your Ideas: Zines, Comics, Books + More! (Ages 15–18)

What do you want to share with the world? Whether you write, draw, collage, or something else entirely, you can learn to self-publish your 2D talents. Together we will learn the basics of self-publishing, bookmaking and reproducing work. Individual projects will be tailored to each students' interests. We will work together to develop your unique projects and create a final piece of individual or collaborative media.

  • This class counts as a special topics class in our Art League Certificate Program.

    Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.

About the Instructor

Rae Whitlock

Rae Whitlock is an artist and educator living and working in Richmond, Virginia. She has an MFA in Performance Art from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she also taught Art History and Writing. She currently teaches preschool/kindergarten full time, and teaches all
other ages part-time.

Rae makes zines and comics
which are available at fine independent shops nationwide, and collaborates with musicians for live visual work and videos.
