About the Instructor
Evie Metz
Evie Metz is an animator, photographer, and art-educator.
Her introduction to photography was through a darkroom and that one-of-a-kind magic informed her more experimental and expressive process of making pictures to this day. She uses puppet stop-motion animation to address aspects of the human experience that can be hard to talk about, such as grief, aging, and desire.
Her passion for teaching manifests in encouraging people to be their authentic selves while discovering their creative vision. By providing confidence with tools, techniques, and skills for professional execution, she seeks to cultivate a supportive community that begins in the classroom and continues on afterward.
