Wireworking + Jewelry Making – NEW! (Ages 10+)

Learn to manipulate wire to create individual pieces of jewelry. We’ll use traditional hand tools to bend, shape, form and harden wire. Students will have the opportunity to incorporate beads, stones or found objects into their jewelry.

Special Notes

  • Ages 10+ are welcomed, if accompanied by an adult.
  • Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.

Materials List

All materials are provided. Students are always welcome to bring their own beads and objects to the class.

About the Instructor

Jeannine Metzfield

Jeannine's spirited creativity turned to metalsmithing in 2002. She has studied Metals at Virginia Commonwealth University, The Visual Arts Center, Arrowmont and Penland School of Crafts. She currently teaches metalsmithing at The Visual Arts Center, and to private clients. In her studio she is inspired by the beauty and strength of nature. In her classes she promotes caring for the earth by sharing ethical practices. Her work is on display at Crossroads Art Gallery.
