A: Paint Your Pet’s Portrait with Melissa Duffy (Adults and Youth 5+ with Registered Adult)

Join artist and illustrator Duffy and paint a mini portrait of your pet! Use acrylic paint and learn basic painting techniques to create art of your favorite fury friend! Please bring a photo of your pet on your phone or printed out.

• Ages 5+ are welcomed, if accompanied by a ticket holding adult.
  
  
  Each person participating must register separately for the class. Be sure to sign up ASAP to guarantee your spot and make sure it runs. Some seats may be available the night of, but it is recommended that you sign up early to ensure the class runs. We will confirm or cancel classes by 5pm the Thursday before.
  
  
  We do not contact waitlist participants for 2nd Fridays classes; please do not join a waitlist.

About the Instructor

Melissa Duffy

Duffy (she/they) is a mestiza Filipino-American cartoonist, illustrator and printmaker based in Richmond, Virginia. They graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a BFA in Communication Arts in 2012. Duffy has worked with BOOM! Studios, IDW Publishing, Richmond Magazine, AMC, and Dark Horse. Currently, she is illustrating We Walked in Clouds, a full-length graphic novel published by Little, Brown Books for Young Readers. She is also a practicing secular wedding celebrant through the Humanist Society. An avid rollerskater and nature enthusiast, Duffy’s work frequently touches on love, flora and fauna, magickal associations, and more than a few cats.
