Classes
ONSITE: Sculptural Flameworking
In this class students will learn about sculpting with solid borosilicate glass. We will cover sculpting flowers, hands, figures and more, come learn about this fiery medium. This class is open to any level. Students can expect to come away from this class with a finished final project of their choice.
Special Notes
- All materials and equipment provided. Wear clothing made of natural fibers to class and closed toe shoes (no flip–flops). Work will be ready for pick up at a later date after cooling.
This is an On-site course. Students must follow current Covid-19 protocols, as outlined on our website. On-site courses do not come with studio access outside of class time. Paid open studio access is available through our Studio Access Program. Please visit visarts.org for more information.
About the Instructor
Sarah Galanti
Born and raised in Richmond Va, Sarah has made her way back to the River City after attending a scientific glass program in Salem New Jersey. She is excited to share what she has learned with the community. When not blowing glass she can be found taking photographs at the river with her dog Bentley.
