ONSITE: Power Shield: Upcycled Pillow
Create your own POWERSHIELD pillow inspired by Franchell's current series of works being created in her VisArts studio. You can repurpose your clothing or fabrics to create a memorable pillow. We will make cords, use embroidery, buttons, and beads to embellish geometric patchwork panels. We will make pillows from these panels.
Special Notes
The instructor will bring a selection of supplies that the students can choose from or mix with what they bring. Including, fabrics, threads, embroidery floss, antique buttons, woven interfacing, templates, and cords.
Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.
This is an On-site course. Students must follow current Covid-19 protocols, as outlined on our website. On-site courses do not come with studio access outside of class time. Paid open studio access is available through our Studio Access Program. Please visit visarts.org for more information.
