ONSITE: Polymer Clay: Miniature Foods

Learn techniques to sculpt miniatures from polymer clay and resin which can be turned into keychains, magnets, or ornaments. Students will gain knowledge about safety while working with clay and resin, sculpting techniques, and resin tinting and curing. Hand tools will be used to aid sculpting and the use of ovens and UV lights will be taught through hands-on experience.

Special Notes

  • This class will include working with resin and safety precautions will be followed.

    This is an On-site course. Students must follow current Covid-19 protocols, as outlined on our website. On-site courses do not come with studio access outside of class time. Paid open studio access is available through our Studio Access Program. Please visit visarts.org for more information.

About the Instructor

Jas Ramos

Jasmine Ramos (b. 1995) is an interdisciplinary artist currently living in Richmond, Virginia. Their work considers the relationship between queerness, craft, body image, and domestic space. They received their MFA in studio art from the University of Florida and their BA in studio art with a concentration in painting from Stetson University in 2017.
