ONSITE: Introduction to Silversmithing

Jump right into working with sterling silver for jewelry. Basic jewelry fabrication techniques will be demonstrated or reviewed including sawing, drilling, sanding, polishing, and soldering. You can expect to leave class with one finished piece of jewelry. This class is accessible to the beginner but is also ideal for someone looking to polish their beginner skills by working with silver.

  • Some materials will be provided but others may need to be purchased based on individual student project needs.



    Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.
    This is an On-site course. Students must follow current Covid-19 protocols, as outlined on our website. On-site courses do not come with studio access outside of class time. Paid open studio access is available through our Studio Access Program. Please visit visarts.org for more information.
