ONSITE: Introduction to Lampworking

Learn the basics of lampworking with borosilicate glass. From gathering and mashing to sculpting, students can expect to leave the class with fundamental skills and several fully finished pieces. We will cover pendants and small sculptures, and explore your own ideas and visions. This class is best suited for beginners but can accommodate more experienced students as well.

    Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.
    This is an On-site course. Students must follow current Covid-19 protocols, as outlined on our website. On-site courses do not come with studio access outside of class time. Paid open studio access is available through our Studio Access Program. Please visit visarts.org for more information.
About the Instructor

Sarah Galanti

Born and raised in Richmond Va, Sarah has made her way back to the River City after attending a scientific glass program in Salem New Jersey. She is excited to share what she has learned with the community. When not blowing glass she can be found taking photographs at the river with her dog Bentley.
