ONSITE: Introduction to Digital Photography

Learn what all the buttons on your digital camera actually do. You’ll learn about things like white balance, resolution and megapixels. We’ll discuss how to capture an image, ensure proper exposure and create an effective composition. Weekly assignments coupled with in-class discussions will help you troubleshoot problems and develop a creative eye.

Special Notes

  • Students should bring a digital camera with manual adjustment capacities (no phones). For storage and processing photos, students need to have access to a personal computer.

This instructor speaks Spanish, but the class is held in English.

This is an On-site course. Students must follow current Covid-19 protocols, as outlined on our website. On-site courses do not come with studio access outside of class time. Paid open studio access is available through our Studio Access Program. Please visit visarts.org for more information.
