ONSITE: Cloisonné Enameling (this class is only offered a few times a year)

Learn cloisonné enameling, an ancient technique with contemporary applications. You’ll explore basic enameling and learn how to create cloisons (French for “compartments”) that separate different colors and shapes in a finished cloisonné design. Each student will finish this class having completed one small piece.

Special Notes

  • Previous metal jewelry experience is recommended. All materials are provided. Please note that this class does use lead-based enamels, but we will provide masks for students.

This is an On-site course. Students must follow current Covid-19 protocols, as outlined on our website. On-site courses do not come with studio access outside of class time. Paid open studio access is available through our Studio Access Program. Please visit visarts.org for more information.
