ONSITE: Artivism RVA: Social Activism through Collaborative Zine Making (Ages 15-18)

Learn the art of zine making as a form of social artivism (art activism). In this program, we will work together to creatively reflect on community-engaged art practice, demonstrating our ability to engage with and understand ourselves, each other, and our local community. Students will learn about and explore the Mending Walls mural project to develop an understanding of community-engaged art practice and collaborate in creating a group zine and accompanying poster directly related to community issues of student interest.
