The 2023 [WORK] Exhibition Highlighting VisArts’ Creative Community Opens June 16

The Visual Arts Center of Richmond is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated opening of its annual [WORK] exhibition, showcasing an extraordinary collection of artworks by the talented faculty, staff, and members of the board of directors. This year’s exhibition, the largest to date, opens June 16 in the True F. Luck Gallery at VisArts.

Featuring a remarkable assembly of 84 artists, including 25 newcomers to the show, [WORK] promises an eclectic collection that encompasses a wide range of styles, mediums, and perspectives. From thought-provoking paintings and sculptures to captivating multimedia creations, [WORK] will offer visitors a multi-sensory experience that pushes boundaries and challenges perceptions.

“We are delighted to present the 2023 [WORK] exhibition, which showcases our creative community of teachers, staff and board,” said Jordan Brown, Interim Executive Director at VisArts. “This annual exhibition provides a platform to share the amazing talent and creativity of this group as well as foster a sense of collective identity and collaboration within our organization. We are so proud to celebrate the artists who support VisArts every day and contribute to the larger Richmond arts community.”
