Shelby Howick

Shelby Howick joined the VisArts team in 2018 as the special events coordinator. She’ll be overseeing fundraising events like Collectors’ Night and Craft + Design.

After graduating with a B.A. in Public Relations from the University of North Florida, Shelby lived in Washington D.C. and New York City where she worked as a book publicist at various publishing houses, most notably Grand Central Publishing. Her love of art books evolved into a passion for art history and curatorial studies, inspiring her to pursue an art history degree at VCU.

Outside of work and school, Shelby is studying French and hopes to travel abroad to document her bilingual adventures through film photography.
