Growing up in Richmond, Tesni took classes every summer at The Hand Workshop. After receiving her B.F.A. in apparel design from the Rhode Island School of Design and moving home, she discovered that she loved teaching when she began working at the newly renamed and renovated Visual Arts Center of Richmond. Tesni recently finished her masters in Art Education at VCU and is a licensed K-12 teacher. Tesni is also a mentoring artist at Milk River Arts where her heart lies in helping to create and strengthen communities through art.
