Gayla Lee has been working in glass since 2001. She uses a combination of glassblowing, kiln-forming, and cold-working techniques to make work that explores patterns and geometry in glass. She has been teaching glass making classes professionally since 2005. She founded glass programs at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts in Annapolis, MD and at the LibertyTown Arts Workshop in Fredericksburg, VA. She has taught at numerous studios and art centers including the Corning Museum of Glass in Corning, NY, and the Glass Furnace in Istanbul, Turkey. She currently lives in Fredericksburg, Virginia with her 5 year old daughter.
