Classes
Intermediate Sewing (B)
Build confidence and advance your sewing techniques with a mix of instruction and hands-on practice. Week one will go over sewing 2 types of zippers, and the remaining classes are structured studio sessions where students receive guided support to explore more advanced techniques and sewing projects, depending on their goals. Students should come to the first class prepared with a project or area of focus they’d like to develop with instructor support.
Special Notes
- Students are welcome to bring their own sewing machines to class. Please be sure to purchase all supply list items before classes begin.
Accessibility notes: Many artmaking processes require the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, fine motor skills/finger dexterity, repetitive motions, vision, and some amount of physical strength. VisArts values making classes accessible to everyone, and is always happy to work with students to make accommodations when possible. Please reach out to [email protected] with specific questions related to accessibility or accommodations.
Paid studio access is available through our Studio Access Program. Please visit visarts.org for more information.
Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.
