Volunteer at ArtVenture Summer Camp

Every summer, VisArts needs volunteers to make our ArtVenture Summer Camp happen! Volunteers assist in the classroom alongside our teachers, help with check-in and check-out, print t-shirts and help us monitor breaks and lunch. We have volunteer opportunities for adults as well as for students ages 14 – 17 through our ArtVenture Youth Ambassador Program.

GENERAL volunteer opportunities

The Visual Arts Center of Richmond relies on hundreds of volunteers each year. Amongst other things, volunteers help with:
•    Special Events
•    Gallery Openings
•    Administrative Work
•    Education and Outreach
•    Marketing
•    Facilities

Please keep in mind that you must:
•    Be at least 14 to volunteer at VisArts
•    Be at least 16 to volunteer at one of our special events
•    Be at least 21 years old to serve alcohol at one of our special events
•    Successfully complete a background check to work with kids

All VisArts volunteers receive a $10 credit towards an art class when they volunteer. For Craft + Design, Collectors’ Night, and Chili Throwdown, you can redeem two hours for a $10 credit. All other events, you can redeem four hours for a $10 credit.
