Support VisArts
Since our founding in 1963, the Visual Arts Center of Richmond has become an anchor of community life here in Richmond. Each year, VisArts is proud to serve more than 50,000 people—that’s one in five Richmonders. From local veterans learning the craft of basketweaving to our littlest artists building piñatas at ArtVenture Summer Camp, VisArts brings together folks from all walks of life.
VisArts provides an important space where folks can connect with one another, with neighbors known and unknown, over a shared interest in art. Your support today directly impacts VisArts’ ability to continue celebrating and supporting the creative lives of all people for many generations to come.

“I love seeing people succeed at creating stuff and how excited they get. The amount of laughter, the joy, that this building brings into people's lives is incredibly important.”

“VisArts is a place where you can find something you're really passionate about. At school, you just do whatever the curriculum is. Here, you're very encouraged to do what you want, explore your interests, explore your own stories and ideas.”

“VisArts is one of those places in the community that nurtures the people who come here. It can be as a source of healing, a source of expression, no matter the emotion behind it.”
