Work by VisArts' faculty, staff and board members
January 29 – March 4, 2016

The annual [WORK] exhibition offers the public an opportunity to view the diverse, professional work created by the dedicated faculty, staff and board members of the Visual Art Center.

In 2016, VisArts engaged Jayme McLellan to curate the exhibition. Jayme is the founder and director of Civilian Projects and has worked as a curator, gallery director, artist and educator in Washington, DC since 1996. In addition to organizing exhibitions for artists, she co-founded two non-profit visual arts and advocacy organizations – Transformer Gallery and Save the Corcoran.

The [WORK] show presented examples of all media taught in the building: wood, ceramics, metal, jewelry, fiber, glass, drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, creative writing, film, digital media and more. All of the artists included in this exhibition contributed collaboratively to the educational programming and leadership of our dynamic community arts center.
