We are committed to learning from the materials we choose to work with. Being humbled by our mistakes and then becoming thankful for them. In working with our hands, we create objects that carry their own stories and energies. As a cohort, all working in different mediums, the throughline we find is a deep appreciation for the tangible.

Material intelligence is the integration of knowledge, which resists a casual alienation from our physical world. It is learning and re-learning, to the point that it becomes embodiment and memory.

Letting the wood grain splinter us, the needle prick us, and the ink stain our fingers – We each explore the limitations of the familiar while embracing the expansiveness of the unfamiliar.
