The Art of Lighting for Photography
Explore a diverse array of lighting setups and techniques, from studio configurations to the nuances of natural light. Through hands-on demonstrations and interactive sessions, you'll learn to sculpt light to accentuate the unique features and emotions of your subjects, transforming ordinary portraits into extraordinary works of art.
Discover the power of light modifiers, such as reflectors and diffusers, as you experiment with shaping and controlling light to evoke mood and atmosphere in your images. Explore the interplay of light and shadow, mastering techniques to add depth, dimension, and drama to your portraits.
Unleash your creativity and develop your own signature style. Learn to think critically about light, and begin to explore how different lighting setups can convey varying emotions and narratives within your portraits. This class provides a supportive environment for growth and experimentation for beginner photographers.
Special Notes
- Students must bring their own DSLR camera and SD card and any light source they want to experiment with (flashlights, lamps, glowsticks, etc.)
This class does not meet on 10/28.

Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.
