Classes

Sharpen Your Craft: Writing Short Fiction (Limited Offering) – New!

Take a deep dive into the craft of writing fiction. With a particular focus on short fiction, this class will explore key craft elements such as characterization, setting, tone, conflict, and structure through reading, discussion, and generative writing exercises. This is a craft and generative writing class, not a workshop. Students will be invited to share their work in an informal way, but it is not a core component of how the class is structured. However, the instructor will offer each student written feedback on a completed piece of short fiction at the end of the course.

Special Notes

  • Students will be asked to read 2–3 short stories in-between class sessions. Please bring something to write with to class (laptop or notebook/pen).
    No class 1/19, MLK day.
