Classes

Intermediate Sewing (A)

Improve sewing skills with guided practice during class time. After weekly demonstrations, students can work on individual projects and explore more advanced techniques. Demonstrations include sewing zippers and buttonholes, specialty seams and finishes, making fit adjustments to sewing patterns, and other student requests.

Special Notes

  • Students are welcome to bring their own sewing machines to class. Materials will depend on personal projects. Students and teacher can discuss during the first class.
Accessibility notes: Many artmaking processes require the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, fine motor skills/finger dexterity, repetitive motions, vision, and some amount of physical strength. VisArts values making classes accessible to everyone, and is always happy to work with students to make accommodations when possible. Please reach out to [email protected] with specific questions related to accessibility or accommodations.
Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.
This class does not meet on 4/25 or 5/9.
