Classes
Family Studio: Experimental Painting: Cosmic Skies
Make art side-by-side as a family! Together you will explore a new medium each week and create a beautiful project. Experiment with process art painting (i.e. use a salad spinner for spin-art) and watercolor techniques (dry brush, splatter, wet on wet, etc) to make cosmic painted skies. Use contact paper and collage materials to create your own cosmic art!
Special Notes
- Each person must individually register. Registered children must be accompanied by a registered adult. This program is best suited for families with children aged 3 to 8, however, all family members are welcome. All materials and equipment are provided. Artmaking activities will involve some messiness; please wear appropriate clothing.
Instructor speaks Spanish, but the class is held in English.
Accessibility notes: In youth art classes, many artmaking processes involve (age-appropriate) fine motor skills, physical strength, vision, and ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. VisArts values making classes accessible to everyone, and is always happy to work with students to make accommodations when possible. Please reach out to [email protected] with specific questions related to accessibility or accommodations.
Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.
