Exploring Champlevé Enameling

Delve into the fascinating world of Champlevé enameling, a traditional technique where recessed areas of metal are filled with vibrant enamel. In this class, you will learn how to design recessed areas into metal surfaces and apply enamel to create stunning, colorful works of art. At the end of class, you will have one finished small piece of jewelry to take home.

Special Notes

  • Accessibility notes: Many artmaking processes require the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, fine motor skills/finger dexterity, repetitive motions, vision, and some amount of physical strength. Metal and jewelry classes may produce loud noises. Students who are sensitive to noises may want to wear ear protection. VisArts values making classes accessible to everyone, and is always happy to work with students to make accommodations when possible. Please reach out to [email protected] with specific questions related to accessibility or accommodations.
Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.
