Chaos Projects in Metalworking: Bring Your Drawing to Life (Ages 9-11)
Boldly dive into metalworking techniques through the creation of a "chaos project." You will begin with making a unique drawing or design, then we'll move to create sculptural works that challenge our ideas of what metal can create! All students will learn piercing, sawing, soldering, filing, and simple design/drawing, along with additional proiect-specific techniques. At the end of this class, students will leave with pieces they may not have imagined possible in metal, gaining experience in metalworking through unconventional avenues.

Cassie Works
Cassie Works (they/she) is a writer, artist and educator. They are the founder of Fictional Names, a developing experimental theatre project, and teach metalworking to young artists. They hold a BFA in Sculpture + Extended Media from Virginia Commonwealth University.
