Jordan Roeder (she/her)

Jordan Roeder has worked at the Visual Arts Center of Richmond since 2012 and has been a part of the organization’s incredible growth over the last decade. She started her time at VisArts at the front desk before working with community programs like Make Space, Studio S, and Veterans at VisArts, later growing to lead the education team and VisArts’ annual programming.  Before being appointed as Executive Director, Jordan served as VisArts’ Director of Education + Programs for five years.

Jordan Roeder spent her childhood in Minnesota but now considers Richmond her home after more than 20 years in this community. She has a B.F.A. from Virginia Commonwealth University in painting and printmaking and a Masters in Arts Administration from Goucher College, which she completed while working at VisArts. She is former Style Magazine Top 40 under 40, a graduate of the Leadership Metro Richmond’s Leadership Quest Program, and has been involved with many community organizations in the Richmond region over the years. She currently serves as a member of the Public Art Commission and as a board member for Candela Books & Gallery. She has a special fondness for all things printmaking and letterpress and works to maintain an artistic practice outside of her creative life at VisArts and her busy home life with her son, Arlo.
