Slab-Built Ceramics and Raku
Work on functional or sculptural forms using slabs with guidance and demonstrations from the instructor. Demonstrations could include: making textural tools to personalize work, how to use the spray booth and how to use the sand blaster. When possible, we’ll host a raku firing. Students will have ample time to practice their craft with the benefit of having a professional ceramic artist in studio to answer questions and offer demonstrations.
- Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.
All materials and equipment provided. Raku does not happen every week. You will receive 25 pounds of clay; additional clay is available for purchase.
