Paint a Portrait (Ages 12-14)

Learn how to use different types of brushes to develop a portrait in India ink wash and acrylic paint, with dramatic contrast in both media. Students will learn how to use several types of brushes to create shadow shapes with ink and acrylic. Portrait drawing will be emphasized in the beginning.

About the Instructor

Dale Jones

Professional artist and educator. I hold a Fine Arts degree from Eastern Mennonite University and a Master of Art Education from VCU. I show work at Sterling Art & Frame and have had solo shows in Richmond and Washington D.C.
