ONSITE: Watercolor Portraits

Learn to immortalize a portrait of yourself or another with pencil and paint. We'll practice drawing closely from life or still images using various techniques, and to apply color to their drawings with watercolor. Skills practices will include discerning tone and value from source material, mixing colors, and applying paint to paper with different approaches and tools. We'll emphasize how to create mood within our paintings. Each student will produce small studies and as well as a final piece, if interested and able.
