ONSITE: Stained Glass (C)
Learn the basics of glass cutting, foiling, soldering and framing in order to create projects to embellish your home like stained glass panels, decorative mirrors or handmade lampshades. By the end of the class, beginners will have learned the fundamentals and completed a panel. Returning students will be able to explore more advanced techniques.
Special Notes
- Please bring safety glasses. There is lead in the solder use. Pregnant students should check with their OB GYN before registering. Please wear closed toe shoes. In Nicole's class, the class includes a "starter pack" of glass with the supply fee. Additional glass may want to be bought at a later date.This class does not meet on 2/16.Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.This is an On-site course. Students must follow current Covid-19 protocols, as outlined on our website. On-site courses do not come with studio access outside of class time. Paid open studio access is available through our Studio Access Program. Please visit visarts.org for more information.
About the Instructor
Nicole Velez
Nicole is a professional stained glass artist specializing in modern designs that are rooted in tradition. She fell in love with stained glass as a child when her father discovered a hidden window in her childhood home. She began her career in 2018 learning at VisArts and now works out of her studio in the Fan.
