ONSITE: Learn to Sew with Guided Projects
This class teaches basic sewing skills that a student can build on and use to make custom projects for themselves and their loved ones. They can use these skills to save money by making and repairing things themselves instead of paying someone else to do it. Students will learn how to use a sewing machine, how to select fabric to meet their project’s needs, some basic sewing terminology and how to read a pattern. They’ll learn how to assemble a piece and tips for a more professional-looking finished product. Students will have the opportunity to create a new project every week. They will take home 7-8 finished small projects along with the patterns to make them again at home.
- Sewing machines are supplied, but you may bring your own if you prefer. Class may change based on student interests and skill level. Students need to come to every class with previous project completed so that they can share what they learned or any questions they have. Students also need to bring fabric and materials for that week’s project. I will have a limited amount of extra materials available for students to purchase, but it will be on a first come basis and should not be relied on.Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.
