ONSITE: Introduction to Woodburning
Have you ever wanted to learn the art of woodburning? In this class, we will teach you the basics of pyrography – from understanding the different techniques and skills involved to creating your own unique designs. At the end of this course, you'll go home with a wood-burned project of your own design, and a skill that you can further apply to your craft.
Special Notes
- Prior drawing experience heavily encouraged, but not required. There are a wide range of wood-burning kits available, but students will have larger success with a kit with its own heat generation unit. Such kits can be a little bit more of an investment. Students will be working with heating tools, that will produce smoke. if you have asthma or other related health issues, please consider before joining course.
UPDATE: VisArts will have wood burners to use during class- but not outside of class.
This instructor speaks Spanish, but class is held in English.
Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.
