ONSITE: Introduction to Wire Working (Adults and Youth 9+ with Registered Adult)

Learn techniques for bending, shaping, twisting, looping, spiraling and springing wire into form. Wire jigs, dowels, mandrels and hand tools will make up the basis of our exploration. Hammer techniques for hardening and adding dimension will be demonstrated. Your own creations with wire will be encouraged.

Special Notes

  • All materials are provided. This will be a hands-on workshop. Techniques will be demonstrated and skills will develop as you handle the wire. Metal work can be dirty at times. Wear comfortable clothing. Bring your own eye protection or borrow ours. If you have tools you enjoy using or wire you'd like to explore, feel free to bring them.
