ONSITE: Experimental Comics
Study experimental comics of the past and present and explore different artistic mediums and methods of storytelling to make our own comics.
Special Notes
- All materials provided. Students should have some drawing experience before taking this class. Each student will be provided with a companion sketchbook for notes, sketching etc. Be prepared to take projects home with you.
Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.
This is an On-site course. Students must follow current Covid-19 protocols, as outlined on our website. For more info visit visarts.org. About the Instructor
Dashiell Kirk
Dashiell Kirk is a illustrator based in Richmond. His work ranges from Comics and graphic novels to playing card games and posters. He teaches cartooning, comic book illustration, and ink drawing at the Visual Arts Center, and has a BFA in Communication Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University.
