ONSITE: Digital Photography (Ages 9-11)
Learn how a digital camera works, how to import photos to computers and how to use Adobe Photoshop to edit. Go on field trips around the neighborhood to take photos, enjoy demonstrations, hands-on practice and detailed overviews on composition and creative decision making.
- Students will go outside to take photos. Students may bring their own digital cameras. If you need to borrow a camera, VisArts has very basic point and shoots cameras. Please email [email protected] to reserve one, as we have a limited number!
- This is an On-site course. Students must follow social distancing protocols and wear masks at all times. For more info visit visarts.org.
About the Instructor
I am a photographer, animator, video artist, and all around multidisciplinary maker. I earned my BFA from Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, MD and my MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. My art practice is centered in desire, pushing the boundaries of human strength and the limited nature of our humanness with the intention for us to transcend it.
