ONSITE: Close Reading: Fiction Writing Workshop (Only offered a few times a year!)

For writers of fiction, this class will be part craft discussion, part workshop, part generative space. Each week, we will close-read a short story and discuss the craft elements being used like point of view, subject juxtaposition, braided structure, dialogue as story and more. We'll then use those elements in our own work. You will either write one longer short story, or several shorter works depending on your preference.

Special Notes

  • This class will not meet on 4/6.

Students will need tools for writing in class, such as laptop/tablet, notebook, pens, etc, as well as internet access to receive assigned reading material outside of class.
