ONLINE: Screenwriting (only offered once a year)
Expand your creative horizons by writing and workshopping an original short screenplay or TV pilot. Students will learn industry standard screenplay format, workshop writing exercises as they develop and revise an original short screenplay suitable for submission or production. Students are expected to spend time writing and reading screenplays outside of class time.
- Students should have a computer and internet for Zoom video conferencing. Must have ability to download free screenwriting software.
Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.

About the Instructor
Ariana Hamidi is a filmmaker who combines autobiographical fiction and political satire through performance art, re-photography, animated texts, and 16mm hand processes. Her films have been shown throughout the US and internationally including Anthology Film Archives, Int'l Film Festival Rotterdam, Athens Int’l Film & Video Festival, MadCat Int’l Womens Film Festival, and Beijing Int’l Film Festival. Her film and companion chapbook, Dear Cyclops, was published by Bronze Skull Press. She has an MFA in Performing Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a BFA in Film, Photography, and Visual Arts from Ithaca College.
