Editing the Digital Photograph in Adobe Lightroom

Adobe Lightroom is a powerful program that allows you to catalog and enhance your digital photographs. We’ll cover its most useful features and show you how to add and organize, search for and edit your photographs. Learn how to adjust color and sharpness, apply local adjustments to only part of an image, straighten crooked horizons, convert color images to black and white and more.

  • All materials and equipment provided.
  • Students need to bring a flash drive with at least 40 images to practice in class.
  • Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.
About the Instructor

Regula Franz

Regula Franz is a Documentary Photographer and Educator who holds a Master of Fine Arts in Photography from VCU School of the Arts in Richmond. She is originally from Basel, Switzerland, where she received a B.A. in English, Linguistics, Anthropology and Art History. Interested in indigenous cultures and adventure travel, she has been photographing all over the globe, especially in Southeast Asia. Specializing in Fine Art Digital Printing and Digital Software, she exhibits her work in Europe and nationally. In 2013, she received the prestigious Teresa Pollak Award for Excellency in the Arts. A mid-career monograph Beyond Journey was published in 2015, funded by Herekeke Arts Center, New Mexico, where she has been a Visiting Artist since 2009.
