Drypoint – New!

Explore drypoint, a simple intaglio technique that involves drawing directly onto a copper plate with a needle or other tool. You’ll scratch into a plate to create a rough edge called a burr on each side of the line. The crevice and the burr hold the ink, which gives drypoint its characteristic soft, velvety look. Students will learn the basics of drypoint technique and how to operate an etching press. Plan to walk away with an edition of 10 prints they have designed and hand-printed.
