Art League: Understanding Color Through Oil Painting (Ages 15-18)
At the Visual Arts Center of Richmond, high-school aged students can expand their artistic practice, grow their personal portfolios and prepare for possibly attending art school. Take an Art League class and get the chance to work in professional studios, alongside working artists.
Develop an in-depth understanding of color theory using oil paint, one of the most time-honored art mediums in the western tradition. We’ll learn the theory and test it out in practical application. Knowledge of color theory is critical for artists working in any medium, so you’ll benefit from this class even if you’re not a painter.
- This class counts as a special topics course toward the Art League Certificate.
