High Covid Community Levels in Richmond; Mask-Wearing Inside VisArts is Required

July 01, 2022 News

As of Friday, July 1, 2022, the Visual Arts Center of Richmond will require mask-wearing within the VisArts building in accordance with high-level transmission levels within Richmond city as defined by the CDC.

VisArts follows the VHD and CDC guidelines to define its COVID-19 Safety Policies. Currently, VisArts follows the recommendations based on the CDC COVID-19 Community levels. These levels can be low, medium, or high and are determined by looking at hospital data, and the total number of new COVID-19 cases in an area.

The City of Richmond is currently at a HIGH COVID-19 Community Level, which means masking is required indoors. Anyone coming into the Visual Arts Center facility is required to wear a mask. VisArts will have extra masks at the front desk for guests in need of one.

CDC-informed color-coded signage that indicates VisArts COVID-19 community levels are posted on the entrances of the building. Please check VisArts’ COVID-19 policy page for up-to-the-minute community level updates by county, and adhere to the color-coded signage posted at our doors.
