Come make felt from real sheep’s hair! In this class, students will make envelope purses, drawstring purses, and pocketbooks from vibrant colors of wool. Students may also choose to hand-felt booties out of natural sheep’s wool. Felting is a technique that does not involve knitting, and each work created is one-of-a-kind. Students will have loads of fun, while playing away in wool & soap bubbles. [X]

Using muslin, we will design and paint our own fabrics, create patterns, and sew our own garments using machines. Students will learn to visualize through the camera’s lens as they compose pictures with a 35mmcamera. The course includes lessons on composition, timing, subject matter, and basic camera operations, a picture-taking field trip on Tuesday, and darkroom time for printing the rest of the week. Students are encouraged to bring in a 35mm camera, or may borrow one of ours for the week. [X]

Sensational Spinning is a great compliment to this class.[X]
