Using metalsmithing tools to learn the techniques of cutting, piercing, and soldering, students will learn to fabricate their own 3-d art forms or jewelry out of sheets of brass, copper, aluminum, and wire.[X]

Come make felt from real sheep’s hair! In this class, students will make envelope purses, drawstring purses, and pocketbooks from vibrant colors of wool. Students may also choose to hand-felt booties out of natural sheep’s wool. Felting is a technique that does not involve knitting, and each work created is one-of-a-kind. Students will have loads of fun, while playing away in wool & soap bubbles. [X]

If you have ever wanted to work like designers do on "Project Runway" then this is the class for you. Using muslin, we will design and paint our own fabrics, create patterns, and sew our own garments using machines. Demonstrations will include sewing and pattern design techniques, and students are encouraged to "go green" in collecting embellishments for their projects.[X]

Be your own director! Students will explore to the basic techniques involved in low-budget video production.  Learning through the use of video cameras and editing software, students will learn the self-expressive possibilities afforded by the moving image. In addition to discovering various shooting and editing forms, the goal of this class will be for students to thoughtfully consider the range of imagery presented through movies and television. [X]

Get ready to go on collection field trips in the fan to a thrift store and nearby parks to create art inspired by nature and everyday objects. Using fabrics and scrap materials, Kendra's classes will incorporate innovative weaving techniques to create hanging tapestries and sculptures. Using collage techniques and found objects, Jessica's classes will find inspiration through artist references to transform objects into collective time capsules, identity treasure boxes, and artist trading cards.[X]

Using metalsmithing tools, hammered copper, and embellishments such as shells and pearls favored by early Native Americans, students will learn to fabricate their own charms and create an assemblage-style necklaces and bracelets out of brass, copper & aluminum wire.[X]

This class is fun and not just for girls! Embroidery is like drawing, only with thread on fabric – you’ll be amazed at how easily you’ll start embroidering your name, simple drawings, and whatever else you can imagine. We’ll make cool wrist cuffs, iron on patches, a drawstring bag, and a stuffed creature. [X]

With the use of a variety of sizes and shapes in beads supplied, students will learn to adorn and create bead jewelry, and learn a variety of techniques which may include off-loom bead weaving basics.[X]

Students will invent their own cartoon characters and stories as they learn about drawing methods and materials used by professional cartoonists. Students will also explore the history of the comic form. [X]

This class is designed for beginners & more advanced weavers. Beginners will be initiated into this wonderful craft by learning the fundamentals of preparing the floor loom and weaving-off a cool rug or wall hanging. Returning students may bring in their own project ideas, produce a project sheet, and work on more complex pieces under the guidance of the instructor. Sensational Spinning is a great compliment to this class.[X]
